How to install this
Hotfix
The Hotfix must be applied to all Backup Exec media servers.
Installation Procedures
To install the Hotfix on a
Backup Exec media server, download the Hotfix. A prompt will appear asking
whether to open or save the download. Perform either of the
following:
1. Extract the hotfix to a temporary directory.
2. Stop all Backup Exec services on the media
server
3. Rename the BENETNS.EXE in the Backup Exec\NT directory to
BENETNS.HF68
4. Copy BENETNS.EXE from the temporary directory to
the \Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\ directory
5. Start all
Backup Exec services
*Default directories created during installation of
Backup Exec for Windows NT and Windows 2000. If modified during install,
directories may be different.
