Description:

Fetchmail is vulnerable to a denial of service. By sending a specially-crafted email, a remote attacker can cause the program to crash.

For Mandrake Linux:
Upgrade to the latest fetchmail package, as listed below. Refer to MandrakeSoft Security Advisory MDKSA-2003:101 : fetchmail for more information. See References.

Mandrake Linux 9.2: 6.2.4-1.1.92mdk or later

For Immunix 7+:
Upgrade to the latest version of fetchmail (5.9.0-10_imnx_1 or later), as listed in Immunix Secured OS Security Advisory IMNX-2003-7+-023-01. See References.
