User authentication changes for Adobe Document Server for Reader Extensions 6.0

In Adobe Document Server for Reader Extensions 6.0, users that try to log in with invalid user credentials receive application-specific errors depending on whether the user ID, the password, or both are invalid.

In Adobe Reader Extensions Server 6.1 and later and Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions 7.0, user authentication is managed by the J2EE Application Server's user authentication service. As a result of this change, application specific errors are no longer provided to the user.  Therefore, if the user ID or password is invalid the user receives a generic error stating that their credentials are invalid without specifying which part of the credential is invalid. This change is in line with industry best practices for information security and identity management.
