SimpleFAQ SimpleFAQ is a Frequently Asked Questions component for Joomla 1.0.x It is released 'as is' with all the usual disclaimers. You can see it in operation on my FAQ page here. The FAQ page will contain answers to common support questions I receive regarding SimpleFAQ. Please note that I will answer questions as soon as possible but this can sometimes take a while due to my work schedule. There is also a test area. | | Download Here To install this component, follow these steps: - Save the zip file from the download link above to your PC
- Inside the administration interface for your mambo site, select Components->Install/Uninstall
- Browse to the zip file saved on your PC in the 'Upload new component: Package File' window and then click 'Upload File and Install'
- You are done - open the Component->SimpleFAQ menus to configure your new component
Warning If you have installed a previous version earlier than 2.11 and you wish to save your FAQ entries during an upgrade, you must upgrade by following the contents of the Upgrade.README.txt file contained in the zip file. Alternatively, you could uninstall your current version and install this version but, be warned, you will lose your existing faq database.
If you are upgrading a version later than 2.11, you can uninstall your previous version and reinstall the latest version and your database will be retained. Of course, I always recommend a backup of your database at regular intervals as a precaution.
