MERCUR Messaging 2005 - Service Pack 4
The actual version of MERCUR Messaging supports international domain names IDN. This allows the usage of special characters in email addresses or domains, without without any special conversion tool.

A new build-in webmail service allows to work with email messages, appointments and contacts using a regular internet browser from everywhere in the world.

MERCUR Messaging 2005 contains also a better integration to different kinds of anti virus scanners. Many third party products are detected automatically and listed to select by the administrator. This covers also a new interface to Norman Virus Control 5.8 or higher. Norman Virus Control a high-end solution for different kinds of server environments. Its powerful SandBox technology a proactive solution designed to protect against new and unknown viruses.

Another feature is a direct interface to the Symantec Anti Virus Scan Engine. This interface is optional and requires a existing Symantec Engine on the same system or somewhere else inside the local area network.

Another new feature in the actual version is the open relay database support via DNS. This new feature will query for existing reported open relays and will deny emails from known open relay mail servers. This new feature will support access from both paid for and FREE subscription based open relay services.

There are also some additional small changes and bug fixes that were reported by our customers. However it is possible that the software may contain additional unknown bugs.
