Which file does this Hotfix update?

After installing the hotfix, these will be the attributes of the installed files. The date and time are stored in Universal Time. When looking at the date and time of the file(s) on the server where the hotfix was installed, they will be converted to local time. Use the Date and Time tool provided by Windows to determine the difference between universal time and local time.

How to install this Hotfix

Backup Exec Media Servers:

To install the Hotfix on a Backup Exec media server, download the Hotfix. A prompt will appear asking whether to open or save the download. Perform either of the following:
1. Extract the hotfix to a temporary directory.
2. Stop all Backup Exec services on the media server
3. Rename the BENETNS.EXE in the Backup Exec\NT directory to BENETNS.HF68
4. Copy BENETNS.EXE from the temporary directory to the \Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\ directory
5. Start all Backup Exec services

Remote Agent for Windows NT/2000

This update does not need to be installed on remote servers running the Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows NT/2000.
