This hotfix is for users running SecurityCenter 4.0.1 and addresses the following issues:

  • Large scans have the potential to exhaust PHP's maximum memory usage

  • Queries against large asset lists take an extended amount of time to complete

  • When testing connections to its daemons, the lightning-proxy may timeout and misidentify them as not working


To obtain this hotfix, log into the Tenable Support Portal, choose "Downloads" and then choose "Tenable Appliance". The file is called "SecurityCenter-4.0.1-hotfix01.tar.gz".

New features of this version include:

  • Added support for SecurityCenter 4 and Passive Vulnerability Scanner (PVS)

  • Both 32 and 64-bit images available for VMware Player, Workstation, Server, Fusion and ESX.

  • Increased the virtual disk size to 32GB.

  • Added the ability to forward the logs via syslog to a centralized server.

  • Added the ability to configure static network routes on the appliance.

  • Streamlined the backup process to be more intuitive and user-friendly.


This appliance version is not an update or patch and requires backing up the data from the previous VM, installing the new VM image and then restoring the backed up data.
