Tenable Network Security provides a suite of solutions that unify real-time vulnerability, event and compliance monitoring into a single, role-based interface for administrators, auditors and risk managers to evaluate, communicate and report needed information for effective decision making and systems management.
The suite of products described in this section enables our customers to leverage the benefits of the Unified Security Monitoring strategy.
The Tenable SecurityCenter is an enterprise-class management console that provides continuous, asset-based security and compliance monitoring that is fully integrated with Tenable's Nessus, PVS and LCE. It unifies the process of asset discovery, vulnerability detection, data leakage detection, event management and configuration auditing for small and large enterprises. |
The Tenable Passive Vulnerability Scanner (PVS) is a unique, network monitoring technology that provides vulnerability data to Tenable's SecurityCenter and real-time event data to the Log Correlation Engine. The PVS passively determines client and server applications for each host on your network, including their vulnerabilities. The PVS also logs web browsing, file sharing and database activity to aid in incident response and user monitoring. |
The Tenable Log Correlation Engine (LCE) aggregates, normalizes, correlates and analyzes event log data from the myriad of devices within your infrastructure. Event data can be used for detection of compromised systems, botnet activity and malicious insiders. Log and event data can be searched to support compliance reporting. |
The Nessus® vulnerability scanner is the world-leader in active scanners, featuring high-speed discovery, configuration auditing, asset profiling, sensitive data discovery and vulnerability analysis of your security posture. When managed by Tenable's SecurityCenter, Nessus scanners can be distributed throughout an entire enterprise, inside DMZs and across physically separate networks and the information is centralized for analysis and reporting. Nessus can also be used as a stand-alone scanner but requires a ProfessionalFeed subscription to be used commercially. |
Commercial organizations that use the Nessus vulnerability scanner must purchase a ProfessionalFeed subscription to scan their network, obtain support, get updates to their database of vulnerability checks and compliance auditing. |
