The version of Microsoft Office installed on the remote Windows host has a code execution vulnerability.

Description

The Outlook component of Microsoft Office has a remote code execution vulnerability. Opening an attachment in a specially crafted email can result in arbitrary code execution.

A remote attacker could exploit this by sending a user an email and tricking them into opening a malicious attachment, resulting in code execution.

Solution

Microsoft has released a set of patches for Office XP, 2003 and 2007.
