Tenable Information Security Training Organization Subscription Programs

Tenable Network Security understands that there are those in the Nessus community serving broad information security educational objectives and we want to make certain that qualified information security teaching/training organizations have access to the latest Nessus plugins free-of-charge. To this end, Tenable will provide Nessus HomeFeed and/or Nessus ProfessionalFeed subscriptions to information security teaching/training organizations at no cost for those that qualify (for training purposes only).

Training: Nessus and Network Scanning Curriculums

If your information security teaching/training organization uses Nessus in your curriculum to teach students how to scan for network vulnerabilities, the Tenable license allows you to use the Nessus HomeFeed subscription for your training purposes as can be found in the Nessus HomeFeed and ProfessionalFeed Subscription Agreement.

Program Rights, Requirements and Limitations:

• You are permitted to copy/build images and redistribute the Tenable Nessus vulnerability scanner and Tenable Nessus HomeFeed Plugins to students in and for the classroom setting only. Upon completion of the class, the ability to use the Plugins provided by the HomeFeed is terminated and students must register for either a HomeFeed or a ProfessionalFeed according to their intended use as is governed by the Subscription Agreement.
• Information security organizations and students are not permitted to use the Nessus HomeFeed in a commercial fashion to secure their organization's or third party networks. The HomeFeed is only to be used for demonstration and teaching purposes in structured class environment.
• If you qualify for the right to use a Nessus HomeFeed or ProfessionalFeed subscription for your teaching/training organization, you are required to review the license agreement in its entirety.
• If you qualify for the right to use a Nessus HomeFeed or ProfessionalFeed subscription for your teaching/training organization, You will be granted permission to use the Nessus logo in your marketing of the class(es). If you choose to use the Nessus logo, it must always be accompanied by the following: "Nessus is a Registered Trademark of Tenable Network Security, Inc."
• Tenable reserves the right to revoke a free subscription or terminate a subscription at its sole discretion at any time.

Training: Nessus and Compliance, Configuration and SCADA Curriculums

If your information security teaching/training organization uses Nessus in your curriculum to teach students how to do agent-less audits for compliance, configuration or SCADA, Tenable will provide access to a free Nessus ProfessionalFeed subscription for those that qualify.

To register your information security training organization with Tenable Network Security to qualify for the use of Nessus ProfessionalFeed subscriptions in your class(es), you will need to complete a web form and provide the information outlined below by fax (410-510-1889) or via email:

1. Public documentation for the existence of the training

Nessus ProfessionalFeed subscriptions are limited to one subscription (of a duration not to exceed one year, to be determined by Tenable Network Security upon your acceptance into this program) per information security organization class.

• Each information security training organization may register for only one, one-year ProfessionalFeed per class for instructor demonstration and teaching only.
• Information security organizations are not permitted to use the ProfessionalFeed in a commercial fashion to secure their organization's network or third party networks. It is only to be used for demonstration and teaching purposes in class.
• If you qualify for the right to use a Nessus HomeFeed or ProfessionalFeed subscription for your teaching/training organization, you are required to review the license agreement in its entirety.
• You will have the right and may use the Nessus logo in your marketing of the class(es). If you choose to use the Nessus logo, it must always be accompanied by the following: "Nessus is a Registered Trademark of Tenable Network Security, Inc."
• Appropriate subscription length will be determined by Tenable Network Security upon your acceptance into this program.
